Huda Mukbil is an award-winning author and a former senior intelligence officer with the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS), Canada’s lead intelligence organization, where she served for 16 years. Following her tenure at CSIS, she worked as a Senior National Security Advisor at the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and later joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Human Resources division, where she led the development of the organization’s Anti-Racism Strategy and Implementation Plan. She is the President of Zultanite Consulting, a firm that provides advisory services and specialized training in counter-intelligence, insider threats, security vetting, and physical security, as well as guidance on the use of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI).

Huda’s philosophy is clear: security, intelligence, and policing are public services that must be grounded in human rights, ethics, transparency, and accountability. She has built her career on integrating these principles into Canada’s national security and public safety institutions. Today, Huda serves as an instructor of national security at the University of Ottawa and as an instructor at the Canadian Police College, where she delivers leadership courses on the ethical use of artificial intelligence (AI) and organizational culture change. Through her work, writing, and teaching, Huda is committed to being an agent of change, ensuring that her path forward creates opportunities and opens doors for others—especially those historically excluded from leadership in security and intelligence.
